Cabinets for a room the whole building uses
A break room gets opened, loaded and wiped down every working day. That is a different job than a kitchen at home, and it changes how the boxes get built. Face frames stay square and get fastened to solid backing. Drawer boxes are built to be pulled hard. Slides and hinges are set so doors still line up flush after the room has been in service.
Finish matters just as much. Coffee, heat and cleaning spray sit on the same edges every day, so we prep and finish the doors and the exposed ends properly before anything leaves the shop. That is the same order of work we use on every job: quality materials first, then skillful craftsmanship from Cut, Prep, Finish.

Kitchenettes, desk returns, storage
One shop, one finish, across the whole floor
Most offices need more than one thing built. A kitchenette on one wall, a desk return in the corner, a storage bank down the hall, a reception counter out front. When those pieces come from the same shop they carry the same door style, the same stain or paint and the same reveals, so the floor reads as one job instead of three.
We build to the openings you actually have. Appliance cutouts, counter overhangs, filler at out-of-square walls, scribe to the wall rather than caulk to the wall, and grommets and chases where the wiring has to run. Tell us what goes in each cabinet and we will size it for that, not for a catalogue number.
Slab doors, shaker, glazed or stained to match millwork you already have. On a past job we stain matched to existing work the client already had in their home, and the same approach works when a new suite has to match the rest of a building.

Most of the noise stays in the shop. What happens in your building is delivery, fitting and installation.
Cutting, sanding and finishing are done before anything is loaded on the truck. That keeps the dust and the smell of finish out of a room people are still working in, and it keeps the on-site days short and predictable.
Before we start, we agree on the order of work: which room comes first, where we can stage cabinets, which door we carry through and which hours suit the people using the space. If a room cannot be down during your business day, say so early. It is easier to plan the sequence around it than to change course halfway through.
On site we cover floors and finished surfaces in the work path, keep the tools and offcuts in one place instead of spread across the room, and clean up at the end of each day so the space is usable again. If we find something behind a wall or under a counter that changes the plan, you hear about it that day, with what it means for the work, before we keep going.
Coordination goes through one person. Derek builds the cabinets and runs the installs, so the person quoting your job is the person who shows up to do it.

Can you quote commercial casework from our plans?
Yes. Send drawings, a millwork schedule or a set of field measurements to Idahocustomcabinets@gmail.com, or call (208) 515-8662, and we will price the casework from them. If something on the drawings will not build well in real wood, we say so before the job starts rather than after.
Do you work with general contractors?
Yes. We work directly with general contractors, building owners, facilities managers and designers on new construction and remodel work. Idaho contractor registration RCE-68831 is active, and we have been building cabinets as Idaho Custom Cabinets since 2018.
