A recent build
This one started as a dry bar. Cabinet storage in the base, granite over the top, a space framed for the wine fridge, and industrial bracket floating shelves on the wall above for glassware and bottles. Herringbone tile behind it.
The homeowners liked how it sat in the room, so the job carried on into an entertainment area addition beside it. Stain matched to existing work they had in their home, so the new cabinetry reads as part of the original build instead of a good piece of furniture pushed up against an old wall.
Built-ins are the part of a house people touch every day. They should fit the wall they are on, hold what you actually own, and match the wood around them.
What we build
Every run is drawn for the wall it goes on, cut to that measurement, and finished before it ever leaves the shop as a fitted piece.
A niche sized to the television you own, with open display cubbies around it and closed doors low down for the boxes and cables nobody wants to look at. Cords route through the back of the case so nothing hangs down the wall. Shelves are set where your things are, not at a standard spacing.
A low run along a dining or living wall: drawers for linens and flatware, cabinets below, a solid top you can serve off. Shaker doors in a grey stain here, but the door style and the colour follow the room. Add floating shelves above and the same run becomes a dry bar.
Working rooms
Same construction as the piece above, put to work in the rooms that take the beating. Beadboard panels, deep upper shelves for detergent and baskets, closed doors where the mess should stay out of sight, and a bench height run for boots and coats if the space allows it.
Laundry cabinets get built around the machines, the water lines and the dryer vent, so nothing has to be forced into place on install day.
Stain matching
Most built-ins go into a house that already has woodwork. Trim, a mantel, a kitchen, an older cabinet run someone built years ago. If the new piece is close but not right, the eye finds it every time you walk in.
So matching is its own step. We start from the existing work: the wood species, the grain, the door profile, the sheen. Then we make step samples on the same species and take them to the room, because a stain that looks correct under shop lights can read warm or grey under the light your house actually gets. Once the sample is right on your wall, we build.
That is what makes an addition read as part of the original build rather than an extension of it. It starts with quality materials and then applies skillful craftsmanship from Cut, to Prep, to Finish, and it is why we take pride in our work, not just the finished product.

Yes. We work from a sample of the existing wood and finish, match the species, the door profile and the stain, then check a finished sample in the room under its own light before we build the run.
Yes. Walls are rarely straight and floors are rarely level, so the case is scribed to the wall and the trim is cut to meet your existing baseboard and casing. The aim is a built-in that meets the room with no gap line and no filler strip.
