What we build
Cabinetry made to the room, not to a catalogue
Every job is measured on site and built to those numbers — so the fit is right, the grain runs the way it should, and the finish matches what is already in your home.
Kitchens
Full custom kitchens — doors, drawers, islands and pantry storage built to your layout and finished to your stain.

Commercial

What clients say
“We had Derek design & install our cabinets & could not be happier! We were doing an existing kitchen remodel, so we needed something custom. Derek was always available for any questions we had, and worked with our countertop installer to make sure everything was done right. The cabinets still look great, and are very durable. I would highly recommend!”
“our kitchen is completely custom, and the company who built it is no longer in business. most cabinet makers we brought in could not match the style of our existing cabinets… Then comes Derek — he masterfully recreated the exact design, matched our stain, and was really creative about usability and looks for our new-old kitchen.”
“Derek was the only cabinet builder who was willing to tear out, remove, and haul away our outdated, built in, entertainment unit before replacing with a new one (not an easy task)… He was responsive, professional and, in the end, did a wonderful job for us. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Idaho Custom Cabinets again.”
How it gets made
Cut. Prep. Finish.
Quality starts with the material and survives every step after it. Nothing gets passed along until it is right — we take pride in the work, not just the finished product.
Measure & design
We measure the actual room and work out the layout, door style and storage against how you use the space.
Cut
Stock is selected for grain and colour, then cut to the numbers taken on site — not to a stock cabinet size.
Prep
Joinery, sanding and fitting. This is the stage that decides whether a door still closes true in ten years.
Finish
Stain and topcoat built up in the shop, matched to existing woodwork when a project has to blend into a home.

A few things out of the shop
The shop
You deal with the man who builds it
Derek Domeny is a Boise native who spent two decades in a high-end custom cabinet shop before starting Idaho Custom Cabinets in 2018. He still measures the rooms, still runs the machines, and still hangs the doors.
That is the whole pitch. No sales floor between you and the cabinetmaker, and no handing your job to whoever is free that week. Vera Domeny runs the office, so the shop can stay in the shop.
Questions
Before you call
What areas do you serve?
We build and install throughout the Treasure Valley — Nampa, Caldwell, Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Star and Kuna.
Do you build commercial cabinets as well as residential?
Yes. Alongside kitchens and home built-ins we build commercial casework — office break rooms, kitchenettes and reception millwork.
Are you a registered Idaho contractor?
Yes. Idaho Custom Cabinets holds Idaho contractor registration RCE-68831.
Can you match cabinetry to work already in my home?
Yes. Stain-matching to existing woodwork is routine for us — an addition should read as part of the original build, not as an add-on.
How do I get a quote?
Call (208) 515-8662 or send the form on this page with a short description of the project. Derek will follow up to arrange a measure.
